Google Calendar

As the name suggests, Google Calendar is an online calendar and scheduling application provided by Google. This service helps the user keep a track of their appointments, and events and even lets them share them with others. Since it is a product of Google, it is free and all you need to do is log into your Gmail account and access the calendar through it. For someone who is always on the go and needs to streamline their routine, Google calendar provides ease of access and the ability to set reminders and keep a schedule of upcoming events and deadlines.

Why Google Calendar?

  • One of the major benefits of Google Calendar is the fact that it supports integration with major applications, and productivity apps so the user does not need to download extra stuff. Furthermore, if synced with the user’s Gmail account, it automatically updates the calendar with important upcoming events so no manual setting is required.
  • Centralized data in one place is another advantage of Google Calendar as it fetches information from a user’s other scheduling applications and integrates it in one place. Furthermore, it also gives an option for personalizing each calendar, for example, the user can change color for each event or place like gym appointments can be color-coded red.
  • Google Calendar is also shareable with other people as well, so if a business team needs to check the availability of their members they can easily log onto the shared calendar and book the meeting without any conflicts.
  • Security features of Google Calendar include data encryption, as well as Google account built-in security features which are provided by Google Calendar as well.
